Serie B (Week 17) : Verona and Perugia tied at 2-2
ITALY, Dec. 4, 2016 (AMP) — Serie B / Match day 17: Hellas Verona was held to a 2-2 draw by Perugia on Sunday.
Hellas Verona players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Luppi Davide ('12) and Pazzini Giampaolo ('43) while Perugia only scored once Nicastro Francesco ('45). However, even though they were leading 2-1 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Perugia with a saving goal from Belmonte Nicola in the 90th minute.
Hellas Verona remains in first place with 34 points from 17 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up Frosinone Calcio.
