Serie B (Week 9) : Empoli beats Entella 3-2
ITALY, Oct. 16, 2017 (AMP) — Serie B / Match day 9: Two wins in a row for Empoli. After their 3-1 win against Foggia on October 8, the Azzurri continued their sensational form in the Serie B with a 3-2 victory over Virtus Entella this Monday.
Empoli dominated the first half thanks to goals from Simic Lorenco ('2) and Donnarumma Alfredo ('9). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Azzurri further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Pasqual Manuel with just 4 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Empoli FC remains in first place with 17 points from 9 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up Palermo.
