RIO DE JANEIRO, Jul. 16, 1950 (AMP) — Brazil 50 : Uruguay defeated Brazil by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a World Cup second round game (Final Round Group) on Sunday afternoon at the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro. Uruguay won the 4th edition of the FIFA World Cup, Brazil finished second.
