ZURICH, Jun. 19, 1954 (AMP) — Switzerland 54 : Austria defeated Czechoslovakia by a big score of 5-0 (halftime: 4-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Saturday afternoon at the Hardturm in Zurich.
Erich Probst scored tripple goals
Austria dominated the first half thanks to goals from Stojaspal ('3) and Probst ('4, '21, '24). Leading 4-0 at the break, the Austrians further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Stojaspal in the 70th minute.
