PUEBLA, Jun. 10, 1970 (AMP) — Mexico 70 : Sweden defeated Uruguay by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Wednesday afternoon at the Estadio Cuauhtémoc in Puebla.
Uruguay made the Swedishs doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Swedish midfielder Ove Grahn seconds before the end of regulation.
