Argentina made the Italians doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Tardelli ('57) and Cabrini ('67).
The result put the Italians top of Group C with 2 points. In their last game, Italy will meet Brazil at the Estadi de Sarrià on July 5, while Argentina will face Brazil.
