BARCELONA, Jul. 2, 1982 (AMP) — Spain 82 : Brazil defeated Argentina by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup second round game on Friday afternoon at the Estadi de Sarrià in Barcelona.
Brazil dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Zico in the 11th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Brazilians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Serginho '66 and Júnior '75).
