DORTMUND, Jun. 22, 2006 (AMP) — Germany 2006 : Brazil defeated Japan by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a World Cup group stage game on Thursday night at the Westfalenstadion in Dortmund.
Ronaldo scored dual goals
Japanese forward Keiji Tamada opened the score in the 34th minute, before seeing Brazil catch up in the 45th minute thanks to Ronaldo. 1-1 at half time. The Brazilians eventually won the game in the second period with three more goals by Juninho ('53), Gilberto ('59) and Ronaldo ('81).
