SARANSK, Jun. 16, 2018 (AMP) — Russia 2018 : Denmark defeated Peru by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Saturday night at the Mordovia Arena in Saransk.
Peru made the Danes doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Danish forward Yussuf Poulsen in the 59th minute.
The result put the Dane second in Group C with 3 points. In their next game, Denmark will meet third-placed Australia at the Mordovia Arena on June 21, while Peru will face France.
