SOCHI, Jun. 26, 2018 (AMP) — Russia 2018 : Peru defeated Australia by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Tuesday afternoon at the Fisht Olympic Stadium in Sochi.
Peru dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Carrillo in the 18th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Peruvians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Guerrero in the 50th minute.
