NIZHNY NOVGOROD, Jun. 18, 2018 (AMP) — Russia 2018 : Sweden defeated South Korea by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Monday afternoon at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium.
South Korea made the Swedishs doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Granqvist on penalty in the 65th minute.
The result put the Swedish top of Group F with 3 points. In their next game, Sweden will meet third-placed Germany at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium on June 23, while South Korea will face Mexico.
