GERMANY, Dec. 21, 2014 (AMP) — 2. Bundesliga / Match day 19: The match between actual leader FC Ingolstadt and Darmstadt 98 ended in a frustrating 2-2 draw on Sunday.
FC Ingolstadt players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Groß ('20) and Lex ('40) while Darmstadt 98 only scored once Behrens ('7). However, even though they were leading 2-1 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Darmstadt 98 with a saving goal from Darmstadt 98 midfielder Marcel Heller in the 54th minute.
FC Ingolstadt 04 remains in first place with 40 points from 19 games, a 7-point lead over runner-up Karlsruher SC.
