GERMANY, Dec. 17, 2014 (AMP) — 2. Bundesliga / Match day 18: Four wins in a row for FC Ingolstadt. After their success against VfL Bochum, RB Leipzig and FC Kaiserslautern, Die Schanzer continued their sensational form in the 2. Bundesliga with a 2-1 victory over FC St. Pauli this Wednesday.
FC Ingolstadt dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Australian forward Mathew Leckie in the 22nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Die Schanzer further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Groß with just 10 minutes remaining in regulation time.
FC Ingolstadt 04 remains in first place with 39 points from 18 games, a 7-point lead over runner-up SV Darmstadt 98.
