GERMANY, Feb. 17, 2017 (AMP) — 2. Bundesliga / Match day 21: Four wins in a row for Stuttgart. After their success against FC St. Pauli, Fortuna Düsseldorf and SV Sandhausen, Die Roten continued their sensational form in the 2. Bundesliga with a 2-1 victory over FC Heidenheim this Friday.
Stuttgart midfielder Christian Gentner opened the score in the 19th minute, before seeing FC Heidenheim catch up in the 42nd minute thanks to Marc Schnatterer. 1-1 at half time. Die Roten eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Brekalo Josip in the 71st minute.
VfB Stuttgart remains in first place with 44 points from 21 games, a 6-point lead over runner-up Hannover 96, which has a game in hand.
