GERMANY, Mar. 3, 2017 (AMP) — 2. Bundesliga / Match day 23: Four wins in a row for Union Berlin. After their success against Arminia Bielefeld, Karlsruher SC and 1860 Munich, Union Berlin continued their sensational form in the 2. Bundesliga with a 2-0 victory over Würzburger Kickers this Friday.
Union Berlin dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Sebastian Polter in the 21st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Union Berlin players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Kreilach with just 8 minutes remaining in regulation time.
1. FC Union Berlin climbed to second place with 44 points from 23 games, 3 points behind VfB Stuttgart, which has a game in hand.
