GERMANY, Mar. 3, 2017 (AMP) — 2. Bundesliga / Match day 23: After their 0-0 draw against FC Heidenheim on February 25, Fortuna Düsseldorf bounced back with a 2-1 victory over VfL Bochum this Friday.
VfL Bochum had started off well by taking the lead in the 43rd minute with a goal by forward Mlapa Peniel. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Fortuna Düsseldorf players nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Hennings '48 and Bebou '90 on penalty).
Fortuna Düsseldorf climbed to 8th place with 30 points from 23 games, tie on points with SV Sandhausen, which has a game in hand.
