GERMANY, Oct. 25, 2014 (AMP) — Bundesliga / Match day 9: After losing 1-0 to Wolfsburg on October 18 and 2-1 to Mainz on October 18, Augsburg returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over SC Freiburg this Saturday.
Augsburg dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Dutch defender Paul Verhaegh in the 11th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Augsburg players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Altıntop in the 66th minute.
FC Augsburg climbed to 9th place with 12 points from 9 games, tie on points with SC Paderborn 07.
