GERMANY, Dec. 7, 2014 (AMP) — Bundesliga / Match day 14: After losing 3-1 to Augsburg on November 29, Hamburger SV returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Mainz this Sunday.
Hamburger SV dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Brazilian defender Cleber in the 32nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Hamburger SV players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Van Der Vaart on penalty in the 54th minute.
1. FSV Mainz 05 are down in 11st place with 16 points from 14 games, one point behind SC Paderborn 07.
