Bundesliga (Week 9) : Bayer defeats Wolfsburg 2-1
GERMANY, Oct. 29, 2016 (AMP) — Bundesliga / Match day 9: After losing 2-1 to Werder Bremen on October 22 and 0-3 to Hoffenheim on October 22, Bayer Leverkusen bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Wolfsburg this Saturday.
Wolfsburg had started off well by taking the lead in the 37th minute with a goal by midfielder Maximilian Arnold. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Bayer Leverkusen players nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Mehmedi '79 and Jedvaj '83).
Bayer Leverkusen climbed to 10th place with 13 points from 9 games, only one point behind 1. FSV Mainz 05.
