GERMANY, Apr. 16, 2017 (AMP) — Bundesliga / Match day 29: After four straigth defeats, Darmstadt 98 returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Schalke 04 this Sunday.
Darmstadt 98 dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Mario Vrančić in the 11th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Darmstadt 98 players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Gondorf in stoppage time.
FC Schalke 04 are down in 11st place with 37 points from 29 games, one point behind Eintracht Frankfurt.
