FRANCEVILLE, Jan. 19, 2017 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 : Senegal defeated Zimbabwe by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a AFCON group stage game on Thursday night at the Stade de Franceville.
All the action happened in the first half, with goals from Mané ('9) and Henri Saivet ('13).
The result put the Senegalese top of Group B with 6 points. Zimbabwe is bottom with one point. In their last game, Senegal will meet third-placed Algeria at the Stade de Franceville on January 23, while Zimbabwe will face Tunisia.
