OYEM, Jan. 16, 2017 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 : DR Congo defeated Morocco by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a AFCON group stage game on Monday night at the Oyem Stadium.

45 minutes of play and neither the congoleses nor the Moroccans have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Kabananga in the 55th minute.

The result put the congolese top of Group C with 3 points. In their next game, DR Congo will meet second-placed Ivory Coast at the Oyem Stadium on January 20, while Morocco will face Togo.
