AFCON 2017 : Morocco beats Togo 3-1
OYEM, Jan. 20, 2017 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 : Morocco defeated Togo by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a AFCON group stage game on Friday night at the Oyem Stadium.
Togo opened the score in the score in the 5th minute thanks to Dossevi, before Morocco regained the advantage with Bouhaddouz ('14) and Saïss ('21). Leading 2-1 at the break, the Moroccans further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by En-Nesyri in the 72nd minute.
The result put the Moroccans second in Group C with 3 points. Togo is bottom with one point. In their last game, Morocco will meet third-placed Ivory Coast at the Oyem Stadium on January 24, while Togo will face DR Congo.
