ABIDJAN, Mar. 25, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Ivory Coast defeated Sudan by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Friday afternoon at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.
All the action happened in the first half, with Ivorian striker Gervinho goal in the 34th minute.
The result put the Ivorians top of Group I with 4 points. Sudan is second with 3 points. In their next game, Ivory Coast will meet second-placed Sudan at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium on March 29, while Sudan will face Ivory Coast.
