AFCON 2017 Qualifiers : Sierra Leone defeats Sudan 1-0
FREETOWN, Jun. 4, 2016 (AMP) — Gabon 2017 (Qualifiers) : Sierra Leone defeated Sudan by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a AFCON qualifying game on Saturday afternoon at the Brookfields National Stadium in Freetown.
45 minutes of play and neither the Sierra Leoneans nor the Sudaneses have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Fofana in the 65th minute.
The result put the Sierra Leoneans second in Group I with 4 points. Sudan is bottom with 4 points. In their last game, Sierra Leone will meet group leaders Ivory Coast at the Brookfields National Stadium on September 3.
