Championship (Week 8) : Ipswich beats Wigan Athletic 2-1

ENGLAND, Sep. 22, 2014 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 8: Three wins in a row for Ipswich Town. After their success against Millwall and Brighton & Hove Albion, the Tractor Boys continued their sensational form in the Championship with a 2-1 victory over Wigan Athletic this Monday.

Ipswich Town dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Luke Hyam in the 20th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Tractor Boys further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Sammon in the 63rd minute.

Ipswich Town FC climbed to 7th place with 14 points from 8 games, only one point behind Sheffield Wednesday FC.
