Championship (Week 9) : Bournemouth beats Wigan Athletic 2-0

ENGLAND, Sep. 27, 2014 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 9: After their 1-1 draw against Watford on September 20, the Cherries returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Wigan Athletic this Saturday.

Bournemouth dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by French forward Yann Kermorgant in the 36th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Cherries further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Francis in the 70th minute.

AFC Bournemouth climbed to 14th place with 12 points from 9 games, only one point behind Leeds United FC.
