Championship (Week 6) : Barnsley defeats Preston 2-1
ENGLAND, Sep. 10, 2016 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 6: Two wins in a row for Barnsley. After their 4-0 win against Rotherham United on August 27, the Tykes continued their sensational form in the Championship with a 2-1 victory over Preston this Saturday.
Barnsley dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Winnall Sam in the 27th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Tykes further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Armstrong in the 79th minute.
Barnsley FC climbed to second place with 12 points from 6 games, 4 points behind Huddersfield Town AFC.
