ENGLAND, Nov. 5, 2016 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 16: 7 wins in a row for Newcastle. After their success against Norwich City, Rotherham United, Brentford, Barnsley, Ipswich Town and Preston, the Magpies continued their sensational form in the Championship with a 2-1 victory over Cardiff City this Saturday.
Newcastle dominated the first half thanks to goals from Atsu Christian ('3) and Gouffran ('45). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Magpies further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by in the th minute.
Newcastle United remains in first place with 37 points from 16 games, a 6-point lead over runner-up Brighton and Hove Albion FC, which has a game in hand.
