Championship (Week 16) : Preston defeats Rotherham 3-1
ENGLAND, Nov. 5, 2016 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 16: After losing 1-2 to Newcastle on October 29, the Lilywhites returned to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Rotherham United this Saturday.
Preston dominated the first half thanks to goals from Hugill Jordan ('22) and Robinson Callum ('27). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Lilywhites further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Vermijl Marnick with just 9 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Preston North End FC climbed to 11st place with 23 points from 16 games, only one point behind Sheffield Wednesday FC.
