Championship (Week 20) : Brighton beats Leeds United 2-0

ENGLAND, Dec. 9, 2016 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 20: After their 0-0 draw against Cardiff City on December 3, the Seagulls bounced back with a 2-0 victory over Leeds United this Friday.

Brighton & Hove Albion dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Glenn Murray in the 23rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Seagulls further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Hemed on penalty with just 8 minutes remaining in regulation time.

Brighton and Hove Albion FC climbed to first place with 42 points from 20 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up Newcastle United, which has a game in hand.
