Championship (Week 21) : Brighton defeats Blackburn 3-2
ENGLAND, Dec. 13, 2016 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 21: Two wins in a row for Brighton & Hove Albion. After their 2-0 win against Leeds United on December 9, the Seagulls continued their sensational form in the Championship with a 3-2 victory over Blackburn Rovers this Tuesday.
Brighton & Hove Albion dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Irish defender Shane Duffy in the 16th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Seagulls further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Stephens '61 and Murray '79).
Brighton and Hove Albion FC climbed to first place with 45 points from 21 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up Newcastle United, which has a game in hand.
