Championship (Week 21) : Cardiff City defeats Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1

WALES, Dec. 13, 2016 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 21: After their 0-0 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion on December 10 and 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town on December 10, Cardiff City returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers this Tuesday.

Wolverhampton Wanderers had started off well by taking the lead in the 2nd minute with a goal by Irish defender Matt Doherty. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Cardiff City players nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Connolly '68 and Pilkington '86).

Cardiff City climbed to 19th place with 23 points from 21 games, tie on points with Queens Park Rangers, which has a game in hand.
