ENGLAND, Dec. 10, 2016 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 20: After losing 0-1 to Blackburn Rovers on December 2 and 2-1 to Nottingham Forest on December 2, the Magpies bounced back with a 4-0 victory over Birmingham City this Saturday.
Dwight Gayle scored tripple goals
Newcastle dominated the first half thanks to goals from Gayle ('18, '24). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Magpies further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Gouffran '47 and Gayle '76).
Newcastle United remains in first place with 43 points from 20 games, one point ahead of runner-up Brighton and Hove Albion FC.
