ENGLAND, Jan. 20, 2017 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 27: After losing 2-0 to Preston on January 14, the Seagulls bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Sheffield Wednesday this Friday.

Anthony Knockaert scored dual goals

Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Anthony Knockaert opened the score in the 34th minute, before seeing Sheffield Wednesday catch up in the 45th minute thanks to Lewis Dunk own goal. 1-1 at half time. The Seagulls eventually won the game in the second period with with another goal by Knockaert with just 5 minutes remaining in regulation time.

Brighton and Hove Albion FC climbed to first place with 57 points from 26 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up Newcastle United.
