Championship (Week 34) : Newcastle hold Bristol City to 2-2
ENGLAND, Feb. 25, 2017 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 34: Newcastle was held to a 2-2 draw by Bristol City on Saturday.
Bristol City players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Wilbraham Aaron ('11) and Cotterill ('21). However, even though they were leading 2-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Newcastle with goals by Smith Korey ('59 own) and Ciaran Clark ('82).
Newcastle United remains in first place with 70 points from 33 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up Brighton and Hove Albion FC, which has a game in hand.
