MARRAKESH, Jan. 14, 2018 (AMP) — Kenya 2018 : Namibia defeated Ivory Coast by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a CHAN group stage game on Sunday afternoon at the Marrakesh Stadium.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Hambira seconds before the end of regulation.
The result put the Namibians top of Group B with 3 points. In their next game, Namibia will meet Uganda at the Marrakesh Stadium on January 18, while Ivory Coast will face Zambia.
