MARRAKESH, Jan. 18, 2018 (AMP) — Kenya 2018 : Namibia defeated Uganda by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a CHAN group stage game on Thursday night at the Marrakesh Stadium.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Nekundi in stoppage time.
The result put the Namibians second in Group B with 6 points. Uganda is third with no points. In their last game, Namibia will meet group leaders Zambia at the Marrakesh Stadium on January 22, while Uganda will face Ivory Coast.
