CHAN 2018 : Zambia beats Uganda 3-1
MARRAKESH, Jan. 14, 2018 (AMP) — Kenya 2018 : Zambia defeated Uganda by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a CHAN group stage game on Sunday night at the Marrakesh Stadium.
Kambole opened the score in the 38th minute, before seeing Uganda catch up in the 40th minute thanks to Nsibambi. 1-1 at half time. The Zambians eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Mulenga ('63) and Kapumbu ('71).
The result put the Zambians top of Group B with 3 points. In their next game, Zambia will meet third-placed Ivory Coast at the Marrakesh Stadium on January 18, while Uganda will face Namibia.
