Confederations Cup 2017 : Cameroon and Australia play out 1-1 draw
SAINT PETERSBURG, Jun. 22, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2017 : Cameroon tied 1-1 with Australia (halftime: 1-0), in a Confederations Cup group stage game on Thursday night at the Krestovsky Stadium in Saint Petersburg.
The Cameroonians started off well by taking the lead thanks to Zambo Anguissa in the 45th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Australia with a saving goal from Australian midfielder Mark Milligan on penalty in the 60th minute.
The result put the Australians third in Group B with one point. Cameroon is bottom with one point. In their last game, Australia will meet group leaders Chile at the Krestovsky Stadium on June 25, while Cameroon will face Germany.
