RIO DE JANEIRO, Jul. 16, 1989 (AMP) — Brazil 1989 : Brazil defeated Uruguay by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Copa América final round game (Second Round) on Sunday. Brazil won the 34th edition of the Copa América, their fourth title in history, Uruguay finished second.
