Pappa scored dual goals
Guatemala dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Pappa in the 26th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Guatemalans further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Pappa in the 64th minute.
The result put the Guatemalans second in the group with 3 points. In their next game, Guatemala will meet Belize at the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium on September 7, while El Salvador will face Honduras.
