HOUSTON, Sep. 10, 2014 (AMP) — USA 2014 : Guatemala defeated Honduras by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Copa Centroamericana group stage game (Group A) on Wednesday night at the BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston.

Pappa scored dual goals

Guatemala dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Pappa in the 37th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Guatemalans further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Pappa with just 10 minutes remaining in regulation time.

Guatemala will play the Final, Honduras the Fifth Place.
