HONG KONG, Feb. 22, 2003 (AMP) — Japan 2003 (Qualifiers) : Hong Kong defeated Taiwan by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2003 EAFF East Asian Cup (Preliminary Round) on Saturday afternoon at the Hong Kong Stadium.
The result put Hong Kong top of the group with 3 points. In their next game, Hong Kong will meet group leaders Macau at the Hong Kong Stadium on February 24, while Taiwan will face Mongolia.
