East Asian Cup 2017 Qualifiers : Hong Kong defeats Guam 3-2
KOWLOON, Nov. 6, 2016 (AMP) — Japan 2017 (Qualifiers) : Hong Kong defeated Guam by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 EAFF East Asian Cup (Second Round) on Sunday night at the Mong Kok Stadium in Kowloon.
Alex scored dual goals
Hong Kong dominated the first half thanks to goals from Alex ('19) and Sandro ('22). Leading 2-0 at the break, Hong Kong players further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Alex on penalty in the 67th minute.
The result put Hong Kong second in the group with 3 points. In their next game, Hong Kong will meet Taiwan at the Mong Kok Stadium on November 9, while Guam will face North Korea.
