East Asian Cup 2017 Qualifiers : North Korea beats Guam 2-0
KOWLOON, Nov. 9, 2016 (AMP) — Japan 2017 (Qualifiers) : North Korea defeated Guam by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2017 EAFF East Asian Cup (Second Round) on Wednesday afternoon at the Mong Kok Stadium in Kowloon.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by So Hyon-uk ('66) and Pak Kwang-ryong ('87).
The result put the Koreans top of the group with 6 points. Guam is bottom with no points. In their last game, North Korea will meet second-placed Hong Kong at the Mong Kok Stadium on November 12, while Guam will face Taiwan.
