La Liga (Week 6) : Betis defeats Gijon 2-1
SPAIN, Sep. 27, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 6: After losing 1-2 to Deportivo La Coruna on September 24, Los Beticos bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Sporting Gijon this Sunday.
Sporting Gijon had started off well by taking the lead in the 17th minute with a goal by Castro Carlos. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Los Beticos nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Joaquin Rodriguez '46 and Castro Ruben '57).
Real Betis climbed to 10th place with 8 points from 6 games, tie on points with Deportivo La Coruna, which has a game in hand.
