La Liga (Week 7) : Betis defeats Rayo 2-0
SPAIN, Oct. 4, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 7: Two wins in a row for Real Betis. After their 1-2 win against Sporting Gijon on September 27, Los Beticos continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano this Sunday.
Real Betis dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by German defender Heiko Westermann in the 20th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Beticos further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Castro Ruben in the 61st minute.
Real Betis climbed to 8th place with 11 points from 7 games, only one point behind SD Eibar.
