La Liga (Week 8) : Espanyol defeats Betis 3-1
SPAIN, Oct. 17, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 8: After losing 3-0 to Deportivo La Coruna on October 3 and 1-2 to Sporting Gijon on October 3, Los Periquitos bounced back with a 3-1 victory over Real Betis this Saturday.
Espanyol dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Chilian defender Roco Enzo in the 4th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Periquitos further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Caicedo '51 and Sanchez Victor '55).
RCD Espanyol climbed to 9th place with 12 points from 8 games, tie on points with Valencia CF.
