La Liga (Week 9) : Rayo defeats Espanyol 3-0
SPAIN, Oct. 23, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 9: After three straigth defeats, Los Franjirrojos bounced back with a 3-0 victory over Espanyol this Friday.
Javi Guerra scored dual goals
Rayo Vallecano dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Roberto Trashorras in the 36th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Franjirrojos further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Guerra '75, '78).
RCD Espanyol remains in 9th place with 12 points from 9 games, tie on points with Valencia CF, which has a game in hand.
